This private park, 3000 ha in size, is fully integrated in the magnificent Balule Nature Reserve, which – with its 35000 ha – borders and has an open connection with the world-famous KrugerNational Park. The Oliphants river meanders its way through Balule and brings water to the parks the whole year round. At the river banks you’ll find hippos, crocodiles, etc.
At Casart Game Lodge you’ll be immersed in serene peace and tranquillity, alternating with real wildlife action.
Casart Game Lodge is nestled along the crest of a hill so that you always have a panoramic view of the bush valley with the dominant tops of the Drakensbergen hills as beautiful background scene.

LUXURIOUS RONDAVELS: Casart Game Lodge has 2 double-bedded rondavels at its disposal. These both have their own private terrace with hot tub (jaccuzi). Every rondavel comes with a king-size bed, separate toilet and a bathroom with bath and spacious shower.
4-PERSON GUESTHOUSE/ self-catering: Casart Game Lodge also has a 4-person guesthouse, where self-catering is possible. This accommodation has 2 bedrooms and a bathroom with spacious shower. Both bedrooms have air-conditioning.The kitchen is fully fitted to enable preparing yourself a good meal: a gas fire with 3 burners, refrigerator with freezer, microwave and all kitchen appliances you may need. There is also a BBQ.
4-PERSON GUESTHOUSE: If you don’t feel like cooking and want to enjoy our excellent kitchen, you can also book the guesthouse inclusive of breakfast and dinner. These can be served on your own private terrace, in the middle of the bush.
BAR AND LOUNGE: after an excellent dinner you can fully relax and enjoy our bar facilities.
SWIMMING POOL: You can enjoy a refreshing dive in our swimming pool. It is surrounded by a large deck where comfortable deck chairs are at your free disposal.
ROOM SERVICE: Privacy and peace and tranquillity are very important to us. Therefore, if you want, we can serve breakfast on your own private deck, without any supplement.

GAME DRIVES: The game drives, which take place both mornings and evenings, are an excellent opportunity to get to know the fauna and flora of Grietjie. Our English-speaking, highly qualified field guide will give you an unforgettable experience in his open vehicle. He will be happy to share his inexhaustible knowledge with you. If the language would be a problem, we will help you.
BUSH WALKS: Beside the daily game drives we also offer the opportunity to explore the bush in a more sporty manner under the guidance of our game ranger. A 2- to 3-hour walk will enable you to experience live the pure nature of the bush.
SLEEPING UNDER THE STARS: This really is an experience for daredevils. Our ranger takes you with him to the middle of the bush. Here, you’ll pass the night on a field mat with sleeping bag. A night watch is organised so that every participant watches over the others for 1 to 2 hours.
MASSAGES: If you want to take it easy, you can enjoy a wonderfully relaxing massage, during which you can dream away while your body relaxes. These massages (90´) can be given on your own private deck.
