The historical places like Veurne and Diksmuide are a short distance away and are within an ideal distance for those who like to combine a bike ride with discovering cultural-historical places with culinary surprises. The many cycling junctions and walking routes offer the necessary support to safely reach the chosen destination.
Of course, the intention is that people come to us for the nature that Koksijde still has to offer, just think of the high Blekker with its nature reserve and the large sea dunes, the widest natural beach in Belgium between Nieuwpoort and De Panne where you can walk, run or cycle for miles.
Koksijde offers 3 sailing and surfing clubs for people who like to indulge themselves at sea. These can be reached by coastal tram or make a downwinder with owner Geert “Kabine7”, an experienced kitesurfer.
For the less sporty among us, Koksijde offers a large selection of museums including the Paul Delvaux, Abdij Ten duinen, George Grard and Visserij museums. If that's not enough, the coastal tram stops right outside and seaside resorts such as De Panne, Nieuwpoort and Oostende are very easily accessible without any worries.
