For years we've been dreaming of a teeny-weeny yet very special little hotel in some foreign country. Somewhere where the sun always shines. Like Brazil. Or Zanzibar. Or Costa Rica. While roaming the world, however, we realized that the Netherlands isn't such a crazy idea after all. We settled in Bergen and have not left since. After 6 months of reconstruction, our Boutique B&B In De Aap is a fact. We are so proud! Our dream has been realized. You can count on us to make sure that as from now on everyone will be wanting to stay at In De Aap.
In De Aap is located within 2 minutes walking distance from the centre of Bergen, an inspiring town where the soul is rekindled and the body unwinds. Bergen is an artists town. For centuries writers, painters and composers have been inspired by the lush vegetation, dreamy dunes and wild ocean. But not only the surrounding nature is energizing. The history of the town has a lot to offer too. Bergen has a social character with an abundance of restaurants and cafes, interesting shops and galleries, many open on a Sunday.
There are activities almost every weekend, like the antique - and art markets or the Kunsttiendaagse in October. Music lovers can enjoy plenty live performances in cafes. In August the International Holland Music Sessions take place - a course for young international music talent - and September hosts the well attended jazz & Sail weekend.
Oh, and after 15 minutes of pedalling you are on the Bergen aan Zee beach, or in the centre of Alkmaar. And within half an hour by car you are in Haarlem or Amsterdam.

Finca
The Finca is a loft with a Mediterranean ambience, from which you can see the sun rise and set.
It's situated on the first floor of the house and is fully equipped.
The kitchen is supplied with an induction cooktop, a fridge, a microwave oven and a Nespresso coffee maker. There is a television set, hi-fi system, wireless internet and double box spring bed.
The bathroom has a huge walk-in shower and bath. Breakfast is served in the room or weather-permitting, outside.Casita
Guests don't have to set foot out the door as it's fully equipped and supplied with all creature comforts.
The Casita is a large room decorated in Mediterranean style. It has two patio doors and is located at the front of the house on ground level.
The kitchen is supplied with an induction cooktop, a fridge, a microwave oven and a Nespresso coffee maker. There is a television set, hi-fi system, wireless internet and double box spring bed.

In 2008 the following introduction prices apply to both rooms (2 persons):
- € 125,- per room per night (minimum of 2 nights stay)
- € 350,- per room per weekend (Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights)
- € 475,- per room per midweek (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday nights)
- € 800,- per room per week (7 nights: from Friday afternoon till Friday morning)

- Parking is free but we do ask a deposit

Food for friends
Host Emile is at his happiest in the kitchen. He excels in Meditarasian cooking - a fusion of Mediterranean and Asian dishes. Our guests are invited to join in at De Aaps' large kitchen table like part of the family.
