Manoir Theursot – La Grande Verrière
Theursot is a small domain that we bought in the year 2002. The manor is build partly in the mid 19th century and then rebuilt regularly. On the facade of the manor we find the year 1864. The associated farm is probably of an earlier date. Besides the Manor, the estate consist of a pavilion with a greenhouse, a barn and a farm, forest and meadow.
Theursot is located just on the outside of the pleasant flowery village of La Grande Verrière with a church, bakery, cafe, post office, a restaurant and a river that flows through the village.
Enjoy the beautiful domain. You're welcome! For over 15 years we are in the Morvan. We loved the nature, forests and lakes, the quietness and people so much that we decided to live and work in this environment.

The Rooms
In the design of the rooms we searched the mix between the 19th century atmosphere and modern comfort. You’ll sleep in modern box springs beds with crisp white linens and behind the bed a panel of an antique bed. Each room has a private bathroom with shower and toilet.
You’ll find white towels and Damana products, based on olive oil and natural scents. Each room has an antique wooden parquet floor and containing a few armchairs arranged near an attractive marble fireplace. We gave the rooms the names of the former inhabitants of the house.
Sometimes we found during the cleanup and rebuilding something from the old inhabitants: a letter, a diary, a clothes brush with their name engraved on it, a curled card. We’ve put them back in the rooms.
