At the same time, The Art of Joy is only two km from the historic, but also hip city of Lagos. The Art of Joy B&B aan Zee Portugal offers facilities for sports enthusiasts: a private swimming pool and a private tennis court. The most beautiful golf course in Portugal, Palmares, is close by. Many guests rate our B&B Plus with a 10 on Zoover. For example, they refer to The Art of Joy as their "second home" through hospitality, personal attention, a relaxed atmosphere and JOY! The Art of Joy then has four contemporary B&B rooms (3 double rooms and 1 quadruple room) with patio doors to their own terrace. The quadruple room has two separate sleeping areas, each with its own entrance and separated by a wall and door. However, the bathroom is shared. All rooms are comfortable with luxurious box-spring beds and a private bathroom, free coffee and tea facilities. The estate is more than half a hectare where you can find places at various heights, terraces and silence. Our "Plus" activities are walks, coaching, yoga and walking group weeks. Finally, we comply with the anti-covid Clean & Safe rules.

Location of the B&B The Art of Joy

We are located in a green environment where the cows stroll peacefully. Experience the soothing tranquillity of our green Hideaway and enjoy the three C's that characterize our region: "Cliff, Castle & City". Besides the beach of Meia Praia next door with a range of 6 km, Lagos also has the most beautiful bays in the Algarve surrounded by golden yellow rock formations. From our B&B you can walk to the centre of the historic and hip city of Lagos in half an hour for food, shopping and culture. Close to our B&B you have a wide choice of restaurants, cafes and lunchrooms. Moreover, the area around our Quinta offers a wide range of activities: such as walking, cycling, golf (Palmares is the best golf course in Portugal), canoeing, (kite) surfing, paddle boarding, snorkelling and swimming. There are also plenty of options for hikers from our B&B, such as one of the most beautiful coastal paths in Europe. We organize various walking tours on the south and west coast (Costa Vicentina) of the Algarve. Also, in the mountains of Monchique.

To guarantee our image as a retreat and inspiration place, children are welcome from the age of 14. Dogs are not allowed.

You can enjoy tranquility inside the B&B and dynamics in the city of Lagos, Algarve. Assuming that Meia Praia beach and the city of Lagos are nearby. 

B&B Rooms

As an example; All B&B rooms Algarve are located on the ground floor. Through French doors you reach a private terrace, where you can hear the wind rushing through the tall pines that surround the B&B. So a green oasis of tranquility that provides both shade and cooling in the summer. The B&B rooms Algarve are fully equipped and each has its own style. Each room also has its own ensuite shower and toilet, a fridge and free coffee and tea facilities. There are three double rooms and one quadruple with two separate sleeping areas, each with their own entrance and separated by a wall and door. However, the bathroom is shared.

There are also bathrobes and in addition to the regular towels, beach towels

We have a minimum stay of three nights for the B&B rooms
To ensure the ambiance of tranquility children are welcome from fourteen years onwards

Cancellation up to fourteen days before arrival, the deposit (25% of the total cost) will be charged.
Cancellation up to fourteen days up to and including the day of arrival the entire travel sum will be charged.
VAT and Tourist Tax are included in the price
